Kensal Green

Kensal Green is a lively area within Northwest London with a vast selection of excellent unique restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs. Kensal Green is famous for its beautiful cemetery full of historic monuments, which was inspired by the Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris. The cemetery has attracted a wide variety of visitors, including wildlife, with 33 species of birds. The Green Parakeet, known as the Ring-Necked Parakeet, are particularly fond of the Kensal Green area and often seen flying through the High Street and into the nearby parks or cemetery in the morning and evening. There is also a lovely canal to walk along and several greens and parks within walking distance. 

Kensal Green is a great location to travel around London from. Kensal Green Station is served by the London Underground Bakerloo line, which goes direct to Oxford Circus, Piccadilly, Charing cross and Waterloo. The London Overground trains connect with Euston, Richmond, Clapham, Hackney.
 

Kensal Rise

Kensal Rise is a trendy area known for its large, beautiful Edwardian houses and large semi-detached houses with large bay windows and large rooms full of light. Kensal rise is located in Northwest London neighbouring Queen’s Park and bordering Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea. 

There are plenty of green spaces for nature lovers and the Grand Union Canal. You can also jump on the Overground at Kensal Rise station (for 4 stops) to Kew Gardens Rail Station. It is also within walking distance of Queen’s Park, which has tennis courts, a pitch and putt course, children’s café and playground. 

Kensal Rise has a wide variety of unique stores, restaurants and a cinema. The area also has a wide choice of excellent schools from pre-school to secondary School such as the famous Princess Frederica School, which was opened by Princess Frederica of Hanover in 1889. You may also spot a few famous residents living within the area.

Kensal Rise Station is a London Overground Station with regular trains running to Euston, Watford, Stratford and all stops in between.
